My students read my blog sometimes, but they often have trouble following what I'm saying because I tend to use too many words they don't know.
Remembering to keep it simple is hard, but I thought of a simple tool to help. Instead of simply publishing without checking, you run your text through some software that will look at each individual word and compare it to a list of the vocabulary you expect your students to have. Anything that's not on the list will be highlighted for your attention.
Then you get the text back, change it, and try again. Simple. This could be used for teaching material too.
